We just recieved our meg-mo's monday.

What we recieved was a set of dull blades that we leaving stringers everywere. We returned to the shop and sharped the blades and still stringers.

With that being said the blades work well on leaves but the cut quality is less than par. I am returning to the blades and going back with Gators.

Has anyone had this problem or am I the first???

Does your mower have enough RPM's to turn the blades?

I am running them on a 52 Toro Walker with 15 Hp WB.

They are not slowing down when they are leaving the stringers.

What I'm reading that to be is a 52" Toro Walkbehind with a 15hp engine.

That combination in itself is UNDERPOWERED period.

How do the Meg-Mo's deal with the blade cradle on TORO's?

    Dull blades?

    Please post more about this.

Yeah,....Do they come ASSEMBLED or do you have to attach the knives? Might have had the knives OVER the disc.

Unless the TORO deck doesn't FLOW properly with Meg-Mo's, stringers should be cut just fine if not better with 4 tips cutting.

    More info needed.

If power is the issue than I will return these and order a set for the rider.

The Blades were pre-assembled so I assumed that they were correct but I will check and see if they were assembled properly.

Need at least 17hp for 52" cut with REGULAR blades. Some 52"ers have 23-28hp!!! Thats about what you'd need to run Megs properly with that size deck.

    What are your RPM's?

First you said its not a power issue as they're not slowing down. How do you know this?

Meg-Mo's take an extra bit of power to spin at cutting rpm's.
