regarding the merit. the grubs merit did not control were the oriental not the jap grubs. to contol them we had to increase the rate from 1 poch per 12m to 1 pouch to 9m. this should work. we are aplling it now in round 2.

Thats odd, because on my label Merit lists the same rate for both Jap and Oriental Beetles. The more mature the grub the higer the rate, within the labled range. Did you use the low rate for mature grubs?

Also rember Merit is systemic, and therefore the effect of the second application will be cumulative with the first.

YEAH, THERE ARE A LOT OF VARIABLES. WATERING IT
IN IS A BIG ONE. THOSE BAGS SHOULD BE SEALED AIR
TIGHT BECAUSE THE PRODUCT WILL BEGIN TO BREAK
DOWN AS SOON AS OXYGEN HITS IT. IF IT SITS FOR
2 DAYS BEFORE GETTING RAIN, YOU COULD LOSE SIGNI-
FICANT POTENCY OF THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT.I WOULD
LIKE TO SEE A MANUFACTURER NOTE ON THE LABEL ABOUT
THESE PRODUCTS. I DO MY GRUB APPS IN A LIGHT SPRINKLE
