merit/off patent

    Anyone have any info. on Merit being off patent. curious to see who'll distribute and manufacture Imidacloprid and by how much the price will go down?

    I know Lesco has their version, called Bandit. IT will be comarable or less than existing merit prices. I'm sure that next year we will be flooded with Merit knock offs, but the lesco one is the only one I've heard about so far. I do know that it will be in short supply.

    Only merit/fert combo products are off patent. All straight merit products are under patent for another year!

    Submerge, Bandit & some Zenith product might all be "off patent" but Bayer still owns the patented "glue" that is used to bind the tech onto fertilizer. Plus the tech for all of these imidacloprids are made by Bayer so....

    The bottom won't all out until the Asian & Indian knock-offs get here.
