I know this is WAY out there but i have a 2004 Exmark Metro HP 36" and was
wanting to see if anyone has ever put a 48" deck under a 36" ?? I have not
taken measurements but the frame's of both the 36 and 48 machine look the same ?? it looks like you could just pull the 4 pins and drop the belt and swap
out decks ?? I would think even a TTHP 48" deck is the same as a Metro HP 48" deck just different stickers..

Like i said this way out there but can anyone help ??

    Thanks

    Hello,
The decks are actually very different. The 36 inch deck is a stagger design (left side blade is 'tucked' to the rear wheel) where as the 48 is a three blade deck in a balanced formation. Because the 36 has a staggered deck, it also has a deck frame that has a longer front caster wheel set up on the right side whereas the 48 does not. IF you could find a front frame and deck, then yes a 36 to 48 swap could be performed (need to purchase a different drive belt as well).

    Hope this helps.

Yes i just noticed the longer front caster on the one side but it really
looks like the pin placement is the same to mount eather deck, and i
thought the belt would need to be changed also. Thanks for the info !!!

My next step is to find a Used Deck / Front Frame...
