I dont know about the rest of the state, but I put an ad in the Metro Detroit Craigslist for free shredded leaves and compost material from fall clean-ups and I've had countless calls and emails. Until now I've been going to Violia and playing $30/trip. Now I spend about 25 minutes at the end of the day emptying out the truck into 55 gal bags, and people pick it up from me! Or, I'll grab 10 or 15 bags and drop off a truckload close by. (Same as driving to the dump, but I dont have to pay)

Just thought I'd let all ya'll know that there's a demand for our waste out there.. trying to save us all some cash.

Though.. with gas at 2.20 a gallon now, I'm tempted to give out free money! Stuff is cheap now!! (Not really..)

Hey all. Just got a call from a guy who wants his 300' property edge lined with ~6' pines. I'm thinking stagger them and leave about 10 linear feet in between each tree, that would come to about 10-15 pines. Maybe offset them about 6-8 feet or so.

I've done trees before, but never more than 2 or 3. I'm not going to dig all these by hand, so I'd likely rent a bobcat with a tree spade for digging the holes.

Any guidelines for pricing or bidding this job? To be honest I haven't even seen the yard yet, but I want to be prepared when I talk to him. I'm also not sure what trees cost here in SE MI.

Anyone done jobs like this before?

At the end of the season I plan on selling my Truckcraft TC-120 aluminum dump insert. It is an 8ft with the cab protector, sideboard kit, and tarp. It is in very good condition.

If anyone is interested just let me know.
