Its funny you mention getting calls for work like that. I got 2 calls for sprinkler head repair and a call to do some grading and install some sod. They said they didn't care if the sod made it through the winter. They just wanted it to look good for the holidays. On that note, does anyone know where I could get some sod this late??

if you can't get sod from the sod farms, paint the dirt to just look decent.

I figured you couldn't get any now, just thought I would throw it out there to see if anybody knew something I didn't. The customer that wants it is one of those people that don't care about the cost, just want it done. So I would drive further for it because they wouldn't have a problem paying for it. Guess they will have to look mud this holiday.

I dont know where the other guys are getting there sod, but You CAN get sod now. Farms out here are cutting until Jan and then start again in March.... I will PM you the info. If you guys by from nursreys, then your right, they wont sell sod, since most people wont by it, they'll just throw them out... But the farms are still cutting. Heck, last year I've seen guys rake away snow and lay sod down.

And speaking of Dan... I am not sure but he may have changed his name to MACOMB Services. I just saw a truck and trailer, with a couple loaders near a salt bin at Macomb Mall. Looks like he is using some of rizzos equip??( Old Tandem dump with a salter and plow.)Not sure if this is him, but never heard of Macomb Services before??
