I was hoping to get some advice on how to advance my marketing plan throughout the middle of the season (July). I am continuously developing my website: optimizing, backlinking, blogging, etc. I am also posting advertisements around my service area using lawn signs, posters on telephone poles, ads in local shops and businesses around town. I am attending community events and actively promoting a business presence in the area.

At this point I have 15 mow clients and consistently 2-3 other larger jobs per week, but since the week prior to the 4th there has been a lull in customer contacts and it is becoming concerning. For the most part the quotes that we send out turn into confirmed jobs. The problem is my number of leads is beginning to decline.

If anyone has any insight as to why this is happening I would really appreciate it. I’m just not sure what kinds of questions I should be asking myself.

For reference in the spring and up until about late may we got weekly emails looking for work. Now those calls and emails have died off. I think its common at least from my experience in the past 3 years that when summer gets really hot, people stop thinking about outside work.

    Goodluck

Keep up the advertising and business presence for sure but next year try to sell as much as you can during March-June so you have things lined up for July and Aug.... Be relentless, if someone is doing a patio install, sell them on the flower beds to surround it.... They don't have the $? That's ok... tell them to save up and we can do it in August....
