    Hey guys,
Would I loose alot of functionability if I was to go with the Vermeer S600TX in gas as opposed to diesel. If so...what kinds of things have you noticed the the gas just cannot do? (mini tracks in general)
    Thanks,
    Steve

white gardens has the s600tx w/ a gasser. I rented the diesel s600tx before I bought a diesel sk650--I know white will say the gas is okay but in this situation I like the additional oomph of the diesel. I should also mention I only have a mini skid and use it on bigger projects too.

personally i like the diesels for the power and also the noise level, I hate the sound of the gas units you MUST wear ear protection then, with the diesel on and off you don't necessarily need them.

Thanks for the tips...I am torn between Vermeer and Ditch Witch. I mentioned Vermeer because it has been easier to locate than Ditch Witch (both will be used) and gas has been easier to find than diesel that's why i asked about gas

good luck with the DW used. I spoke with my dealer at NE grows and they haven't taken in a used DW in trade--in fact he can't even get a used one. The only used one to my knowledge is on here with a member named Arbor Pro in South Dakota.

1 extra pump, bullet proof construction, 6.5 more HP w/ a turbo. All that aside--the DW is built like a brick house and just works hard every day. The Vermeer has some really nice features but is a bit more finicky with its requirements.
