Just wondering if there are any DOT requirements that I might need to have. I have done some research and it sounds like if your truck and trailer have a combined GVWR of more than 10,000lbs you fall into the "commercial" catagory and along with it are all sorts of regulations and paperwork. Anyone have any experience with this????

You will need a health card, DOT #, fire extinguisher and 3 triangles in your truck, Electric breaks with breakaway on trailer if over 3000# and everything in working order on truck and trailer, ie lights, brakes, wipers etc. Oh ya dont forget to tie everything down. I was stopped by the DOT 2 years ago in Chaska.
