Latest drop in over 10 years. Could be another bad year for fall cleanups. Last year early snow did not melt and cut season short. Looks like most leaves will remain up till a few days before the snow again, not leaving enough time to complete all the final cleanups.

In Wisconsin we started out right on time with some trees. Ash, Honey Locust trees now bare. Birch and Silver Maple falling now. But Sugar Maple and Linden are still "summer green". No hard frost yet in the middle of the state.

My North Metro stuff is done for the most part just a quick touch up before long. I have one large cemetery still holding leaves but going to start next week and touch it up later as it takes 3 days in it self.

Same here. Not all the leaves are down and we got snow last night and 6 inches plus expected this weekend. And I had my november schedule full of fall clean ups!!!

The pine trees came late , but suddenly and finished up in 2.5 weeks, instead of 3.5 weeks, so their ending date was the same...

First time ever that we've finished up the pine needles before the maple leaves were down...
Nearby some Oaks were already killing the grass by their mass on the turf and the birch weren't even ready to mulch into the turf....

It's seems to be something that is odd... but... of course there must be a reason... knowing "WHY" makes us better... :)

I'm hammering out the fall clean-ups starting this Monday. I figure if the leafs haven't dropped yet, they won't until feb.

I am 20 minutes north of PR and I had been noticing the same thing. Ash and honey locust went quick. I have tons of maples of all varietys to go. What gives? I always thought it had to do woth daylight. We did have a hard frost last night up here so maybe they will start to snap. It has been good for the mowing season however. I still have some (mine included) that are very lush and green. I guess I should start the stepdown process but it is nice to still just mow some lawn.

I going to start knocking out clean ups this week even if all the leafs aren't down!
