Mobil 1 or conventional oil for a new Honda HRX?

    Any major brand of 10w30 will work fine. Use synthetic if that's what floats your boat! The main thing is to change oil at regular intervals...50hrs max.

    Yeah I am a AMSOIL fan! Good oil, I use AMSOIL in all my 4 stroke engines. I have switched to Motul in the 2 stroke motocross bikes, engines look clean on the teardowns and the bikes respond well to oil ratios and don't have any fowled plugs. As Tigerfan did say most any brand name oils will serve you well, but oil is like anything else, people are brand loyal and everyone has their brand!

    And here is a link from Red Line Synthetics telling you to use conventional oil during break-in. This subject is gonna be arguable/debatable for the next 100 years. I honestly believe there is no 100% fact-proven answer to this question. Use whatever makes you happy!
