I just bought a new echo bp blower and I am curious if I should run a little bit more oil during break-in. Some boat motors call for more oil durng break-in. Also I am running Amsoil @ 100:1 in my other 2-cycle stuff. Thanks for any ideas.

Wow...I run 32:1 in all my stuff consistently, and I have alot of equipment that is better than 10 years old, and still running strong.

You'll be fine with Amsoil at 100:1. I've used that oil and ratio in lots of new equipment.

Everybody is making synthetics to make less smoke, but long term longevity has me worried, and ethanol in most gas leans it futher,I'am afraid to go leaner than 50/1.

My oldest piece of equipment is a Stihl FC75 edger. I bought it back in 2000. It has been run on Amsoil at 80:1 about 90% of the time since then.

    To get on topic...

I run Amsoil at 80:1 in everything from day one.
