What is the best way to mount a "pik-up tool" to a ZTR so that it is easy to get to for use but will not just fall off?

Mine is very similar. If you need to you can hang the other end in a zip tie that is hung around something to hold it in place.

If you spend a few minutes holding the pick up tool in different positions on the mower, you can find a place that will be out of the way, and will not be in a place where it's easily damaged (such as when your raise the seat).

5 minutes of trying different places may save you a broken pick up tool.

    Get yourself some convenience stores.
You won't be mounting it anywhere.
You'll be holding it while you steer your Z.
Oh, and stock up on T U R D polish.

We use the EZ Reachers on our Dixie Choppers, they fit perfectly on the front caster and handle on the top of the tank. I put a piece of velcro on the tank and handle to keep it from sliding around.
