I know this is a touchy subject for many, for some its like Ford against Chevy. But what blades are really the best for St. Augustine and similar type broad leaf grasses? What are the true advantages and disadvanteges of each? I need something that can handle dew and light rain, mainly mulch but sometimes I have to bag and dont want to have to change blades for one job only to change back afterwards. I run a 21" 6 1/2 HP Toro & a 36" Scag. Thanks for your help.

I use gators year round and dont have any complaints other than last year I thought they left small trails of leaves, not large leaves but small diced portions that were coming from the area where the grass catcher didn't completely seal up to the deck. This year I might try a blade that doesn't mulch so I dont get the tiny particles and creates more vacuuming rather the extreme mulching you get from gator blades.
