Ok, I've been wondering this fow awhile now. I never see any guys mowing the medians in parling lots like at malls and stuff, but I have always wondered how they mow the really narrow ones (about a 1 1/2' wide) filled with trees every 2' apart. If any of you do it/have seen it done, is it done with a string trimmer, a 21"er, or what? I just never seen a rig with 3 guys and a bunch of push mowers, besides the guy that says 21"ers are more productive than a ZTR:rolleyes:

Bunch of guys with trimmers is what they do at a mall over here. Cut as much as they can with the mowers, everything else is trimmer work.

Trimming is how i've seen it done. Doing it at about 9:30pm. Big crew too, I counted 9 guys. These guys do a few malls locally, all at night.
Not the best way to spend your evenings.

I'd use a trimmer or better yet, use Plant Growth Regulator. PGR would allow you to skip all those islands and still get paid for maintaining them.
