I want to plant 2 in my front yard for shade , I know that are notorious for lifting cement driveways ?

How do I prevent this , a barrier of some sort ?

    Thx

I don't know about the roots--usually a weed barrier consisting of black mesh plastic is buried along the concrete you want to protect. The fabric is impregnated with Treflan or some other pre-emergent product which would block weeds.

However, but sure you are aware of the highly allergenic properties of Mulberry. Not legal to plant in some southwest states. I am from Michigan--so take this with a grain of salt.
The male trees produce a lot of irritating pollen. The female trees are messy due to the red sticky fruit.
