Does anyone use a trimmer with an edger attachment to edge mulch beds, if so how good of a job will it do?

I'm going to plead ignorance and say I'm not sure what you are asking? Are you asking how do u edge beds with mulch in it?

Let me rephrase this question, how good does a edger attachment for a trimmer do on edging for beds of mulch

it will not cut a sufficient new edge. but it can be used to maintain a clean edge after it is established.

I agree with dmontgomery. Establish a nice clean edge with a spade or bed edger and you can maintain it for a long time with a string trimmer every time you trim. Don't let it go though, keep on it every time you trim.
