I need some clarification on mulch. I see a lot of people on here talk about the price charged for mulch delivered/installed by the yard. Seems the average is around $60 per yard.

Dumb question, but, the average size of mulch packaged in a bag is 2 yards. What is the difference here? is it actually $120 to deliver and install a bag of mulch?

Also, if i need 2 CUBIC yards of mulch, does that mean i need 1 bag of mulch that contains 2 yards. Is a CUBIC yards and a yard the same thing?

Thanks for the time, everyone here is great!

A bag of mulch is 2-3 CUBIC FEET of mulch.. Not 2 yards.. You will need to figure how many cubic feet are in a cubic yard, that way you can figure how many bags of mulch you will need.

When someone is charging 60.00 a yard, it's bulk mulch, not bagged.

You are looking at 2 cubic foot bags. A cubic yard contains 27 cubic feet.

If you are getting your mulch in 2 cubic foot bags then you need 14 bags of mulch per cubic yard.
