OK, I am giving a estimate for a 65 yard mulch job for a new customer. I try to get 80 a yard installed. I don't currently do that many large mulch jobs of this size and am needing some help. I pay 25 a yard for mulch.

    So labor + 65 yards of mulch = $6,825

Does this sound high? I am worried the customer is going to have a fit over the price.

Depending on how accessible the beds are I would try for $70 a yard. A large job like that there will be more billable time for the day(s) you are working there. I'd rather do a job like that that 65 CY's spread over 20 properties.

Not sure what your area is like, but $80 a yard seems cheap. You don't want to under bid and have to spread 65 yards for next to nothing.

Are you guys charging $80 a yard labor only. Or does that include delivery and price of mulch?

For a really good time I was thinking closer to $2,500
