Hope I put this in the right section.

Well, I about passed out today. I went to get some more mulching blades for my exmark at the dealer. Three blades and to sharpen my old set they took off cost 90.00. I try and support my dealer, but this is crazy. They charged me 17.00 just to sharpen them. My blades last around 15hrs before they need sharpening again, maybe two sharpenings then comes another set. So, where can I look at other places for blades.

At this dealer, my buddy used to work there. Now he has started cutting grass and their customer service is getting worse, or for me it is. My foot assist pedal has been slipping since about 10hrs on it and they just keep kicking me around. I've about had it with them. Love my exmark, but, just might have to try skag next.

    Buy blades online.

    Buy a blade grinder.

www.mowpart.com...buy a blade grinder or find some old man like I did who sharpens my blades for $5 AFTER I take them off. Keep two sets of blades so that I have a sharp set at all times.

Absolutely find somebody that sharpens blades cheaper. Locally it cost $3 per blade, but finding somebody is getting harder and harder. As for new blades, I'd shop online or catalogs.

Well, I've been looking online for blades. Nobody has them for my mower, I have a 56" Exmark. Not looking good right now.

Are your blades timed? That's an odd deck size. J-Thomas lists a gazillion choices for exmark but no 56"... Have you measured your blade length?
