I recently bought a Cub Cadet Tank 48" and have had some problems with it. Simply put, there are two brackets on top of the mowing deck that constantly break, causing the belts to quit turning the blades. These brackets hold a metal rod that goes across the top of the deck and moves with the two front wheels. The dealer that sold it to me says that I or my crew may be jumping curbs too hard or going over rough terrain too fast. I have broken these brackets going as slow as possible on level land. I think it's bullsh** that I pay over 6500.00 for a commercial mower that has what appears to be aluminum brackets, when these should be cast iron (or anything stronger than aluminum). Any one else having the same problem?

can you send a pic, I can't seem to think of something that moves w/axle, other then the axle

I don't think I have any aluminum, other than motor parts, on my 60's and 72"
