My largest percentage gpm drop to date

  1. Overhauled this zone to MP 1000s.Yanked 25 year old 570 3"pu. Replaced with 1804 sams. Capped three heads totally unnessecary. Beginning GPM before starting overhaul 13 gpm. Gpm after overhaul. Take a guess.

    Should of used K-Rains.

  5. We also did a mp conversion on a system today ....zone 1 we replaced 5 r-50's with mp3000's and added a head for even distribution....zone 2 replaced 8 spray nozzles with mp1000's and 2000's...

    Did you also turn down the flow control on the valve, or was that reduction in gpms from new nozzles?
     
  8. I tried using the flow control on a 1" PGA and it was either on or off, got it dialed in perfectly then shut off valve, tested the valve again and no flow, opened the valve up two turns and retested the zone again and had flow.
     
  9. The valves were not to be seen John. i'm guessing they are still buried somewhere. Eventually I'll have these people in a SL and I'll ping them out. That is strictly from the new nozzles and upgraded heads and replaced nipples.

    I'll bite. Let's assume 60% reduction due to nozzle - 15-20% for capped sprinklers.

    My guess is 3-4 GPM new flow rate.
