well, this is the way, it went down- in fall, we give a flat rate for leaf cleanup. this covers them, for fall cleanup. it is done over a few visits, over a period of 4-6 weeks. well, we only did maybe, half of this one. then weather kept us from finishing. but, she paid in full. she called yesterday, to ask when are we getting started? i told her, we'd finish the leaves this week, and get on with ferts, etc. she goes, "leaves, what leaves?" i said, "oh, did we finish you? there were a few that we didn't finish, i could be mistaken, but i thought u, were one of them." she goes, "nope, my place is spotless." took a ride over today, and it seems, the wind gods were with me. i know for a fact we left a mess there, but, the place is in fact, very clean. the bill was paid in full. do i- credit her account? or say nothing?

Customer pays you to clean the yard.
And the yard is clean, right?

Maybe 'forget' to charge her for a cut sometime,
the way I do it is I become very unconcerned about
certain accounts (my best ones especially)...
So if they miss a payment, I never notice.
Or if I do notice, maybe the follow-up late note goes
in the garbage and the account gets marked paid.
Sometimes, I have to force myself to 'forget' to leave the bill.
But it can work out like that.

It sounds like the law of averages caught up with you. It helps make up for the times you underbid or get taken advantage of.
