I picked mine up yesterday and love it. What a difference compared to the Scag SSZ I had. I got a clumping is heavy, damp clover-filled grass. Is there a technique to prevent that?

Can you tell me the approximate cost of a light kit?

    Thanks in advance!

    Statman,

I don't recall ever mowing anything tougher than clover. From my experience however mowing slower is often the worst thing you can do. You'll want to get the hang of the machine before trying this but I've been in situations where mowing faster works much better in this stuff than anything else. What happens with clover is that it wants to stay in the deck until it gets chopped so fine it looks like you ran it through a food processor. These fine clippings are what like to ball up, clump and stick.

By increasing your ground speed you'll get it out of the deck faster and not cut it to such a fine consistency. By doing this it doesn't get the chance to clump up nearly as badly.

The light kit is around $99.

    Thanks

    Terry
