I am using a 14 FT single, I can get 2 ZTRS on it but for some of my jobs I need to take 3 mowers. What are the draw backs to a 20 FT tandem and should I try and stick with a 14 FT ? How much more fuel will the bigger tralier eat. I have a 3/4 ford diesel van so it can pull it. Your thought's from people who have gone bigger on a trailer. I try and be as efficient as possilble, I just do not want to end up with something to where I should have tried to use the 14 and just use less equipment! Thanks.

The fuel would be the least of my concern. Can you manuever it where you need to go? You will find something to take up the space, we always lack for room to move things.

I have a 14' single axle and a 20' tandem with two 5K axles. It's the best of both worlds. I use the 14' the majority of the time but the 20' is there when I do tractor work or even hauling mulch or pine straw. If you can keep the 14' and still get the 20', do it. You'll be glad you did.:)

I cannot keep both , I love the 14 because of low maintenance and only 2 tires. I only have room for 1 trailer and I can drive the 20 to all my accounts but are they a pain to drive around town?

I find it no harder then a small trailer, just leave room to stop and watch the cornners.
