is there any way to easily access the fuel tank on my 2000 773?

the fuel pick up line broke off down in the tank..I only get an hour or so of run time before it runs out of fuel.

If its similar to the one on ours, just replace the rubber line with another and leave the one in the bottom of the tank. It just slips on the barb end at the top of the tank. It's a press fit connection into the top.

that was my plan, but how do I actually get to that? From what I've found its down in a hole that's not accessible, but I haven't really looked in depth at it.

I think if you lift the cab you can access the top of the tank. I dont remember but it was easy as I had to do it on a job.

I had to do that on a 873. I had to take off the side panels to get to it. I could not access it from the under the cab because of the hydraulic pump. That grommet is hard to get back in there after you pull it off.

And it wasn't easy... it was a pita reaching in there and pulling that thing out, and worse trying to get it back in.
