Need some advertising ideas. might actualy have a little money to spend this year.

I want to buy soem flyers and pay the usps to deliver them all in one shot to target neighborhoods.

as well as some door to door.

not sure i have enough for a billboard. but perhaps a radio station ad?

what do you think, im really in a hustle this year as being full time now i need to make enough to get by.

I think the most bang for your buck on advertising comes from good, professionally designed magnetic signs on a truck that looks like it belongs to a serious lawn care professional. Then you are advertising everywhere you go, even at the grocery store. And, of course, business cards to be pushed at everyone you can. For a very affordable graphic designer, I like Judy at Portable Graffiti Graphics.

I have some and im wanting to put them on this year. im just ashamed of the rust that has formed above the wheel wells. and my crappy trailer. planning on taking it appart and making it an open trailer this year so it looks better. that big ugly box just isnt good advertising.

What advertising have you done previously? How were the results?

As a starting point, maybe you could try refining the message and offer (which doesn't necessarily mean giving away services for free) on your flyers and try that again.

For example, perhaps you could include a calendar on the flyer and stick a magnet on the back. The calendar could be a gardening / lawn care calendar educating people about when the best time of year is for certain jobs/services. Maybe they'll stick it on the fridge, or keep it somewhere because it's useful, rather than just "advertising".

I'd also suggest multiple drops to the same homes in a fairly short period of time. e.g. Rather than distribute 3,000 flyers to 3,000 homes, try 1,000 flyers to 1,000 homes, but repeat it 3 times a few weeks apart. You could adjust the designs a little for each time you send them out.
