I just got a call today for a bid on a property, it is 5 acres flat land no hills, all grass area, one building a state office building with a small parking lot, one walkway from parking lot to the building. All they want is mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing off of paved areas.
I have a some smaller commercial accounts but none this big, this is my second year, not sure how to bid no this, I had a friend tell me since this is a state building. I need to come in pretty low on by bid around $5000.00 a year, looks like a 3-4 hour job once a week. Any advice would be of great help. Thank you.

Here in Florida it would probably be bid at $45-$50 per acre.

I mow a school with about six acres of open mowing and then some mowing around the school and what not. It take one guy with a 60 inch exmark about three hours to mow and trim and I get $2600 a year for it.
