This is my first year in the business and i was needing some advice on my flyer. I know the first thing you may notice is the john deere on the the mower, but i talked to the local JD dealer and they said it was fine because it was advertisement for them also. So please critique.

Increase the percentage of the mower by another 15% or so because I could barely see it, I know the idea is just to have an interesting background but if it really is that light on your copy(which it might not) than its too light. Get rid of the second email address, and move the schedule of mowing's over to be under the free estimates. This way the flow of the flier is more consistent. When you design something imagine a grid that is repeatable, this way you stay consistent. A lot of advertising is subliminal, its the old "I don't know why I like it (hate it) but I do.." kind of thing.

Oh yeah, move your name up above your address, everything on the left-left justify, and everything on the right-right justify. Don't be afraid to put the type over the picture of the mower, it is just a background image afterall. What is the name of your co? Your Name?

"Simplify" or convert all text first before sending to a printer or posting, this way if someone doesn't have the font the end-user doesn't see something converted wrong. (Just make sure to always save a live or layered version)

Looks good. Now this is just my opinion so it may work or not. But I would take out "Occasional". That is just way to inconsistent. I don't need accounts calling me and telling me when they want their service to be done without notice. I'd rather have them on a set schedule. Plus you'll run into a client that calls every 3 weeks, you get there and the lawn is 2 feet high. All because they are cheap a$$es and want to save money.

    Again, that's just me!
Good luck to you - looks good!

I think your flyer looks good, but i agree i would get rid of occassional. I would consider vacation coverage for the do it yourselfer. Now my question is, how did you get the mower as a background. What program? My program just uses cartoons, i like your picture much better. Thanks
