I have a client who wants to tear out their existing lawn and lay new sod. What is the best way to go about that? I've used skid steers and sod cutters in the past, which one would be the most efficient route to take? Also do I need to kill the lawn off first or just rip it out? Any advice, suggestions, tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    few thoughts to consider:
    1. what's the existing grade like? Does it need to be lowered/raised?
    2. What kind of grass is going back in? different than what's there?

Just things to consider, if you don't kill off the existing grass, is it going to come back through somewhere, etc. etc.?
