I'm starting my business this year legitimately and need some advice on what you guys use for computer programing for customer contact info, bidding forms, service contracts, etc. Note...I just bought my first computer about a month ago so I'm not too familiar with one to begin with, and would like programs that are user friendly.

Here is what our business uses:

Quickbooks Pro: All recordkeeping and invoicing.

Microsoft Excel: For estimates, proposals, material/labor calculations.

Microsoft Word: Cover Letters, Fax Cover Sheets, Correspondence, Operating Agreement, etc.

    Microsoft Outlook: Email

Microsoft Publsiher: Flyers, coupons, designed our company T-shirts, and other miscellaneous advertisements.

Dell PocketPC: Calendar, Scheduling, Contacts, ToDo Lists, Appointments, Notes, Reminders, Work completed, work to be completed, etc.

Can't remember what we use for our dig pictures...something that came with the camera I think.

Thank you but I should also ask if there are any programs that come in one package so I don't have to buy all of the software individually.

The microsoft products...except for publisher, was bought in a package when I bought my computer. Everything else is idividual...I'm not sure of any all-in-one packages.

I am using this program right now until I get big enough to shell out anymore dough than I have to. For smaller LCO's its hard to beat.
