I do a lot of browsing, not a lot of posting but i'm in a bit of a jam. I have a 2003 Simplicity Boradmoor that went through engine he!! last year (about 150 hours). Its a 16HP B&S v-twin vangaurd and the dealer (where I bought the tractor) claims he fixed it but it doesn't seem right - vibrates, doesn't seem to have the power, runs rough. I was told it "needed" new push rods, muffler push rods, head gasket and finally new cylinders to fix the problem - it went back 4 times for a total of 8 weeks and $800+.

Can anyone recommend a good tractor engine mechanic in norther Fairfield County, CT (Monroe, Newtown area) or southern New Haven County (Oxford, etc)? There is another Simplicity dealer in Southbury, CT but then wont do pickups and I don't have an easy means of transporting it. Thanks for the help.
