I am trying to change the engine to deck belt on my 48" giant mow walkbehind. This may be a dumb question, but what needs to be removed to get the old belt off and the new belt on???

I dont have a manual, and am clueless as to what to do. Thanks!

Not familiar with that specific mower, but with most machines I've used, you can usually just grab the belt, pull upward, and rotate the belt around one of the pulleys to pop it off. You can usually put the new one on the same way. There may be an idler pulley you can loosen to make things easier.

If the tranny belt is below the blade belt, you will have to take it off as well before you can get the blade belt off.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks HOOLIE, the tranny belt is above the blade belt, so that shouldnt be a problem. But, the belt which powers the middle and right blade is on top, that may have to be removed. UGH.
