Need help from 72-93 dodge owners

    I am putting a 1992 dodge d-250 back together. It is obvious from the paint marks, the the front fenders go inside the front skirts or inner fenders. that is how it was when I took it apart.

    IE when you look at the truck, you see the lip on the fender, and then sticking down below that and overlapping by about 1/2 the width, is the inner fender or skirt.

    Is that correct, I cant imagine that that is factory. On all the other trucks I have ever worked on, the inner fender is behind the lip of the outer fender.

    Can anyone confirm this....

    By looking at my 72 that is how it is done. However on my 85 crew the outer fender overlaps the inner fender. So I guess it can be done either way. I do agree though that the inner fender overlaping the outer fender does not look as finished. Hopefully I can get the pics of my 72 poweragon up soon I am in the middle of a repaint then I will put my company's lettering on it
