Okay I had worked for a Profesional landscaper for 2.5 years. This month I decided to start my own, I enjoyed doing what I did and I figured I am good at it so let me give it a shot. So I just purchased an 01 Scag 61" Turf tiger, I Just thought those are the mowers I am use to So why not stick to em? I need help in the general area of Just geting customers? I am use to showing up, mowing w/ the crew and "trying" to keep people happy. But Its a whole different ball game when your the boss, VS just a senior employie. I also need a few pointers in what to charge? You guy's help is needed!

so the whole time you were workin for someone else you never seen how they got new customers? or knew around how much they charged? you knew seen other peoples flyers when you were doing yards for the other company?(i know poeple put them out all over charlotte) but i guess enough bashing now to try and help you.

most people put out flyers saying who you are, what you do, call for a free estimate, nobody here in charlotte has a flyer as good as mine:cool2:. i have heard people say they get some response from posting on craigslist.com as for what to charge well how much do you wanna make? the average around here is between $25-$50 per cut depending on size.

In all reality I do honestly know the area of just getting customers, But charging I don't It was never paid to me or the crew, My boss would later that night or when we were done, Go collect from the days jobs. My ethic will obiously be different. what do you recomend for geting contracts for smaller bisneses?
