I want to get a gas edger. I am not going to use it for business, I just want to take care of my lawn next to my house in Florida. I am looking at Echo PE-200 and PE-230 models.

So my question is, is it really worth investing $100 more in PE-230 model or I will be just fine with PE-200. Why is the second model so much better that it cost so much more?

I need some advice from you guys who have dealed with both models before.

    Thank You.

I don't run Echo, but if you plan to edge every week you would be fine with the 200.

We have a Stihl 110 and if will cut anything, but we also have a old shindy LE-230 and it does just as good on lawns we do every week.

    Hope this helps.

In my opinion Shindy has the best balanced edger. Im 6'2 and it feels comfortable. My Stihl is just ok.

For homeowner use I would just go with the PE-200

I bought a McClain walk-behind edger and will not use my stihl edger again!
