I need help on what to charge for a dethatching job. It is approx 3000square ft, mostly level yard. It is in pretty bad shape because of dry summer last year. I figured that I would have to go over the entire yard at least 3 times. I will be overseeding with a Kentucky Blue/Perrenial rye mix and will topdress with either mushroom manure or peat moss. I would appreciate any help you guys could give me on this.

How much thatch build up is there. Would aerating work? If aerating would work I would recommend that you do that instead. Less work, clean up, time, and many more benefits to the yard.

What do you mean that you will have to go over the yard 3x? Do you mean
3x with a dethatcher? Or do you mean one time with dethatcher, one time for seed, and one time for the dressing?
