Just bought a used Exmark metro with a Kohler 13hp engine. The seller didn't have any of the manuals but I managed to find one online. I still couldn't find a manual for the engine that gives maintenance info. How often to change oil/filter? Air filter? spark plug? Etc. Any helpful links or info would be appreciated.

Kawasaki manuals say 100hrs I just go 50hrs to keep them in better shape. As far as air and spark plug, I just check them at end of every season to clean air filter, replace if necessary and re-gap spark plug/replace if necessary as well.

And check the valve adjustments if it is a Kaw.

Do you really have to hit grease fittings daily as the book says? I find that to be a little excessive but I'll go it the way the book says.

I replace the spark plugs, fuel filter, and air filter before every season. I change the oil every 100hrs (I use Mobil 1 synthetic). I grese once a week and have never had any issues but all manuals say to do it daily.
