Ok here is the scoop I got a request to put down some dirt underneath a customers deck to make it level with the existing ground. The measurements are 12x16 and I need to raise it up by six inches. My question is how many yards of dirt am I going to need for this one. I appreciate any help I can get.

You take the measurements of 12' x 16' x 6" , you get 96 cu feet or 3.55 cubic yards. Figure 4 yards. It's really easy math.
