I have recently had a sprinkler system installed. I have one head in a zone that doesn't get enough clearance above the grass. I have also found that I really don't need that head at all. I get good coverage from the other heads in the zone. My question is this: Is there anyway I can remove the head and cap that line so it won't be in use?

Yes you can but before you do this why not call the contractor and get his or her advise on this. The contractor can either raise it for you or cap it off. I'm sure this would be considered warranty work.

I agree with Sam. Most reputable contractor give a warentee with there work. There have been times when we had to cap off heads and times when we've had to add heads, at no charge of coarse. If you cap off a head and the sod dies who will be held responsable. Call the contractor explain the problem and put the ball in his court.
