Since this post is already up- I just picked one up too, and am having trouble with the dual latch thing... it seems to me that they mis-welded it, and the 2 are too close together, its so tight that it wont release from the "up" position unless I get off the mower and hit it. Is this common? Does it just need to wear down, or did they really weld them too close together... Thanks

Ive Never done One On a Fixed deck. But I do Know That You don't Need The Handle assb, Just hook The Detacher To the Bar and tie a Rope To It To Lift it.

John- Its on my Lazer.... 60"... pretty heavy for just a rope, no? Actually, its pretty heavy for the handle too. I am gonna use it all day today, maybe it will wear in a little... Thanks for the pics
