I plan on buying a new Walker within the next couple of months. I am considering buying the one with the 26hp Kohler engine with a 48" GHS deck.

Could some of you Walker users give me some prices that your dealer wants for one. My dealer usually charges an arm an a leg for anything they sell, but if I could tell him I can get it here for $ ??? maybe I could get a better deal.

And there is a possibility that I would take a road trip to save a few bucks.

    Thanks, Jim

2001 Walker 26EFI 48"GHS deck will set ya back about $9500 or so. We run em but we lease all of our Walkers and end of lease is up we give em $100 and its free and clear. Plus when you lease one like through Telmark they give you a form stating your monthly payment is 100% tax deductable and they will even stand behind you 100% iff ever odited on there lease! When you lease one all you put down is first and last payment and mowers your. for like under $600.00 and your on your way.

I talked to my dealer today and got a price from him. They have in stock a 2000 Walker 26EFI 48" GHS deck, with the deluxe seat. He said I could have it for $9210 + tax. That sure seems like a lot of money. But, in 96 I paid $8500 for a 25hp, with GHS deck. Might just have to hold him to that price.

I looked on turfquip.com, and they had a couple of used Walkers with low hours, but seemed a little pricey to me for used equipment.

And leasing does not sound bad, but don't know anyone around here to lease them from. My dealer says no.

Just keep in mind that Walker go 5mph stock and 7mph w/ the hop up kit. This is VERY slow.

Depending on your location you may only be able to mow at speeds less than 7mph like up here in Maine the grass is so thick its possible to mow faster but no one does to it looks horrible and clumps badly with any type mower. We run Walkers and love the GHS deck you have no big gomme thing hanging off the deck that needs a motor to run it its already in a nice compact machine.

I paid $24500 AUD for my 2000 26efi + 48ghs deck. With the currency conversion that equals around $13000 USD. We have to pay import duties and at the time I also had to pay 22%
sales tax.You guys get things very cheaply over there.
