Hey guys, I need to get my license. Looking at the Maryland Department of Agriculture website, it would appear I need to either have worked for a company for a year, or have a degree. I have neither.

Are there some classes I can take to work around this? At this point in the game, I cannot go work for someone.

    Thanks ahead!

    Chris,
Check out www.iaaonlinecourses.umd.edu, or call the Institute of Applied Agriculture at 301-405-4685, or email Dr. Kevin Mathias @ jkm@umd.edu.

Kevin runs the turf grass management program at UMD College Park, and just started this online training program. It is self paced and will provide you with all you need for getting your license.
