    OK tree pros.....

Got a customer with dogwoods in the yard. He showed me some damage to them today. Looks like a greyish powder on the leaves (fungi maybe) and then some of the leaves have brown blotches on them.

Can you guys point me in the right direction on telling him what needs to be done?

Sounds like powdery mildew, needing a fungicidal spray.

Are these brown "blotches" or brown spots? (smaller round spots which are more numerous)

Blotches are consistent with mildew, spots are more towards leaf spot or anthracnose.

I've got a similar thing on some dogwoods with splotchy leaves as well. Only at one location though.
