okay I ran up on something new today, with a Zoysia lawn. I'm not overly familiar with Zoysia grass. Centipede is the Dominant player in my area, but anyway Iarrived at a new customers home she began to show me all of the things she wanted done as far as tearing out and replacing landscaping. Finaly we arrived at the sprinkler system and the grass. Her yard is normal for this area sandy acidic well drained soil, and it is fairly shaded by large pines. Well in the problem area there is a layer of dark brown almost black residue that has formed a matalmost like a layer of plastic or a thick film and it is choking out the grass. Any suggestions I'm a centipede man and not real familiar with zoysia , and Ididn't have my camera ,but I'll try and get a pic to post tommorow
