thats incredible, looking at the before pic and the type and amount of growth, you would think there would be much more material left over. almost looks like you truck it out or something.

your setup never fails to impress me, loving that 450! hows she holding up compared to the last one? night and day huh, the later builds are truly representative of what these trucks are capable of.

Thanks guys. The flail is holding up really well. I posted a few posts back what the blades look like after 200 something hours. Haven't had to change a single blade and other than a few small nicks, the blades look brand new :cool2:

Talus- haha- I figured it was the special "utility blend compost" that was used out there. In all fairness, this utility is actually pretty good to work for though. It's not one of the big boys.

GW- We converted the rent to own on the Deere to a purchase last November.

I'm coming up on 18,000 mi on the F450 and so far I haven't had a single indicator of the problems my last truck had. Then again, the problems didn't start showing up until 30k+ mi so I'm just hopeful this one keeps on being the great truck it has been so far. And for some reason, the FX4 package with the upgrade Rancho shocks let this truck ride better than the 08 as well.

just keep an eye out for egr issues. theres a new design that they replace the stock one with. i had an issue with mine, rough idle, barely any power. limped it home from down the street. shut it off, 20 min later it was fine. did it once more on the highway on the way home, lost power etc... new egr installed. no issues since.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. What year is your F350 again? Is it a '10?

Slick job as usual. Really getting some excavator envy with those pics. Wait until fall, I'm really leaning towards the 50 as well. Could you post a pic of the mower and hyd lines? I've had some issues with mine and am going to change something, so I'd like to see your routing.

its a late build 09. other than egr, the truck has been flawless honestly. only complaint is the fuel delay on takeoff and only 3.55 gears in the srw...

i think andrew has really made a few of us eye the 50D, ive been reading up on it as well.

Here are some more pics from the last several jobs I finished up.

First up, I had to mow an access road through some trees right off a highway off ramp. Kinda interesting slowing to crawl at rush hour to jump the curb with the truck and trailer. Gotta love strobe lights!

Next project was back at the utility yard. Had to mow the vegetation from in front of a fenceline for security reasons.

Now for a little ditch work. Yes, there is a big drainage ditch under all those trees!

    First pass:

The ditch runs along the bottom of the ledge:

This is why you need a good, top window to see out of:

A few more from the ditch project:

Here you can see the type of vegetation that had to be cleared and what it looked like afterwards:
