I just installed a set of new blades on my Exmark Lazer and I wanted to know if it is best to sharpen them or are they good from the factory?

Sharpen. I learned this with my Lazer and Bahalia grass!! New blades are almost sharp, but still need to get that final edge on them before putting them to use.

I have to agree, I experienced this first hand. I put my "new" spare blades on and the cut has been OK but not perfect. I have the blades that came with it sharpened and I plan on swapping them tomorrow.

Sharpen....the pitch of the blade comes set from the factory, but they aren't ready to cut.

Agree with all the above comments and would add that you need to balance them too. My new blades are always out of balance and most are never cut to 30 degrees either.
