I have use echo trimmers for as long as I have been in the business I have a lot of respect for them we had two echos that were four years old that got about 30 hours a week on them and the only thing that we ever replased was the string head the center plastic would always break but it wasnt very expensive to replace. my question is for the new model thats only got about 5 more ccs and adds 100 dollars more in price worth it or not?

    Well, it depends.

Which 2 models are you comparing?

My newer echo... I forget which model it is but it was $100 more with the larger cc's. I hardly use it... its heavier, and that can make a huge difference by the end of the day when carrying it around. It does have more power, but the smaller engine is plenty enough for the average yard.
