Hey guy's, Got my new F250 4X4 with the 5.4 V8 and 4 speed automatic. Without towing, what kind of Mileage should I expect??? I know it's new, but I seem to be getting about 7 MPG, without towing or plowing............

You will get better as it breaks in, I know you heard it before but thats one of the reasons I went with the diesel. does'nt take long to recapture the diesel option at the rate. I also needed the pulling power.

I had a 2000 f-250 V-8 I just traded in. I ussually got about 7 or 8 miles to the gallon towing and about 10 normally. I traded mine in for a new Ram with the diesel Cummins and now im getting 18mpg stop and go and 12 or 13 towing.

My 250 is getting 17.8 on a good day towing which is alittle better, but my routes last year totaled 18,789.0 miles last year. I've never checked it on a road trip. But if you go 6000.0 miles I could probably live with that, as long as i was'nt pulling much, I do think you will get better though.

    I get 13mpg with my 2001 F-250 5.4 V-8. Towing a trailer is a different story.

7mpg is way too low. Better get it checked out.

I have a GMC 2500HD with a 6.0 and a 4:10 rear, and I get 15mpg empty and 12 loaded with a 16' trailer. I have 23,000 miles. My buddy is a top ford mechanic at a local dealer, he says you got something wrong.
