I sold my 2002 Ferris 1000z 48" cut and took a very minimal depreciation hit. I bought a new Ferris IS 3000z 61" cut and all I have to say is WOW! This machine is unbelievable. The rear suspension really works and the pivoting frame makes it hold on hills better than the wb I use to own. I was afraid that with the suspension that it would be more prown to scalp but it is just the oppisite. Where I have had other mowers scalp this one went through with no problem and without even lifting the deck. The extra cutting width has proven to be a time saver so far along with the fact that I am able to mow at a higher speed because the suspension soaks up many of the bumps. After all what good is a 10 mph mower if you can't stay on it? It also seems to be a little easier on my body, I don't need help getting older. Even though I had to take a slight depreciation hit so far it is well worth it.
